1. A选项OG给出的选项解释说, “more they had a likelihood of coronary disease” illogically indicates that the research subjects had likelihood to a greater degree rather than that their likelihood was greater. 想问为啥会理解成to a greater degree? 如果这样理解对应的句子正常语序应该是怎么样的呢?
the more, the more, 主语指的是research subjects, 所以 the more they drank, the more they had 成了"他们喝的越多,他们越有可能怎么样", the more they drank, the greater was their likelihood of...则是“他们喝的越多,他们什么的可能性越大”
C选项说would have 与前半句的一般现在时drank时态不平行,所以错误。想问the more, the more 句型中时态一定前后要一样的么?感觉drank, would have逻辑上也合理呀。
这句话说的是这是一份调查了1000名物理学者的研究。他们的drank和他们得disease的概率已经是确定了的。(drank, the was likelihood.)所以前后都用过去式。逻辑上可以这么想,这份研究已经做出来了,喝的越多和他们得disease的概率的联系。喝和得这两个动作都发生过了,所以才有这份研究。the more the more 句型时态不一定一致,读懂句子才是王道。
