Three RA positions for PhD students in UTK

Professor Mingjun Zhang’s lab is recruiting three Ph.D students, starting from the 2013 spring semester. Full assistantship will be provided.

Research area: micro/nano systems bio-control, mico/nano bio-robotics, and nano-particle.
The Ph.d students are expected to exploit micro/nano system biology and the control theory, techniques and applications in bio-robotics, including the control analysis of cellular systems, the external control of cellular systems, and bio-inspired control mechanisms, control theory in nano-scale, and nanoparticle sensing.

The applicants should have a solid background in control, robotics, or nano-material. Strong mathematics and engineering background and research capabilities are a must. Knowledge in biology is preferred. Most importantly, the applicants should have strong interests in systems biology control and nano technology.
