有人说根据逻辑意思来解题,但是如果根据语法面来讨论,可真让我傻了眼

上面的句子,我已经把答案带入,希望各位大侠指点迷津

1.       有联词作用的只有as and yet, 但是动词却有4个,如果四个动词要在一个句里,是否要再有一个联词出现? 或是用分号断开关键的两句? 个人觉得如果上句成立,是否在for前面应该用分号而不是用逗号?

2.       如果我的观念不对 , middle-income families are especially hard-hit, 与, for these families can no longer afford to buy homes, 这两句算是同位语吗? 同位语可以用一完整的句字而不使用联词吗?

我的看法，As是"当"的意思，引导一个时间状语从句，然后是主句，然后for引导一个原因状语从句，这里的原因状语从句由两层意思组成，用yet连接这两层意思，来解释为什么hard-hit.
