对C的解释是
C. 定语从句wordy，用形容词短语就可以，更加简洁，而且意思没减少；land area的重复使用也累赘；population为抽象名词，them指代不明；but后面不成句子，无法与前面平行； with a population of only 4 million限定性修饰Laos错误，显得有很多个Laos。

但是BUT后面不是有many of them are……的完整句子么？不能是后面两句是一个整体吗？
