A选项的hoping修饰的是什么？我看大全的解释是修饰了injuries，但是可不可以理解为和C一样是伴随呢？

A的错误主要是：
1：在主句和V+ING之间，插入了状语从句，从而隔离了主句和V+ING之间的修饰关系。但B中的in spite of 是插入语。插入语一般可以忽略，所以不会有隔断修饰的影响

2：recurred over and over again 语意重复

3：return back 语意重复

4:continue on doing 不如continue doing 简洁
