不是说those不可单独出现的么。。为什么？求解答。。

XDF的语法规则其实都不是一定的，我做这个题时也很困惑
后来把其他答案都排除了
没有other的都去掉，their也不好就只能选C
回头一看C是n+that+be+adj的结构，据说也是必错的，所以我觉得XDF的规则还是不要太钻

不过我真的好想选D，希望有更科学的解释

我来回答一下为什么D和E错吧
这种结构more既可以修饰fuel-efficent又可以修饰cars，所以很模糊不能用。
XDF是说those不能单独出现，但是有特例就是比较的时候可以单独用(只能用）that或者those.

但是其实我觉得C也有问题的
Those 指代不会不清楚么？谁能告诉一下？

首先这个those 是泛指，如果用they 指代的是前面说的那些车，逻辑含义错误。
D中 their指代有歧义。

those 代词，意为：那些，那些的。可以代上文提到过的特指“同名异物”的复数名词，某种意义上说，可以是that的复数形式。不过要想代上文没有特指的复数名词，要用ones~
those who 形式的定语从句很常见的。比如这个
