请问这题B为什么不对？

B. Nearly 99 percent of five hundred million different species of living creatures that appeared on Earth have vanished.
C. Vanished are nearly 99percent of the five hundred million different species of living creatures that appeared on Earth.
D. Of five hundred million different species of living creatures that have appeared on Earth, nearly 99 percent of them have vanished.
E. Of the five hundred million different species of living creatures that have appeared on Earth, nearly 99 percent have vanished.

请问B为什么不对

几点想法供参考：
1. five hundred million 前面有个the更符合逻辑意思
2. 改变了原来的句子重心
3. 主语99% 和谓语have vanished离的太远

我觉得主要是因为句子的意思改变了
原句的意思是：有5亿种不同的生物曾在地球上出现过，它们中有近99%消失了。
而B的意思是：有近99%的5亿种不同的生物在地球上出现过的已经消失了。把原句5亿种生物还乘了个99%
而且原句的时态都是现在时，说明的是一种客观事实 B选项中还用到了过去时，没有原句贴切

可是如果按照句意逻辑来的话，have appeared表示现在还存在啊。已经have vanished了，那些creature不该是用过去式appeared更符合实际么。而且B中that是修饰creature的，并不存在乘以99%的问题吧。。。

到底有没有解阿。。。个人认为appear不能用完成时，appear不是瞬间动词嘛。。。选B。

appeared表示现在已经不在。这里应该用完成时，表示过去存在，现在可能在可能不在。
