The only way to make a businessperson's profit is to follow the highest standards of ethics.
原题:“The most effective business leaders are those who maintain the highest ethical standards.”
Time witnesses human being’s extraordinary progression. The issue whether the only way to make a businessperson’s profit is to follow the highest standards of ethics is linked up with a wide range of groups’ interest, therefore arouses concerns not only from consumers but also from corporations themselves. To agree or disagree with it is mater of balancing the pros and cons. From my point of view, the author extends the broad assertion to extreme.
To begin with, it’s no doubt that business ethic are indispensable, even placing at one of the most important positions, for firms to achieve success. The nature essence of a corporation is to benefit individuals and its nation, even the collective global economy, but not only focus on their own profit. People would never regard a unscrupulous company as acceptable, whatever how excellent its production or how considerable its salary of employees. For example, San lu Powdered Milk has already become a signal of immorality after its poison that do great harms to babies have been found in their productions.
In addition, every coin has its two sides. Actually, the history is replete with evidence of business competition. Indeed, in order to attain dominance, some strategies regardless of ethics to some extent are unavoidable. Take the legend of competition between Taobao and Ebay into account. more often than not, it was ridiculous to image Taobao, a juvenile B2C company with the capital of $500,000, could beat the giant tacoo in the forefront battleground without using any back-stabbing tactics. However, look at the resplendent prosperity of internet trade nowadays and the promoting wellbeing it has brought to our nation, we can neglect the shadows in Taobao’s way trimuph.
Anyway, excellent companies which could perfectly figure this argument out are not sparse. The most significant factor of this argument is that responsible for individuals and environment. As a case in point, the benefits of the intense competition between Nike and Adidas indeed weigh against the side-effect of their under moral operations. In China , where Nike dominates the sports equipment market, positive feedbacks have already remedied its impaired reputation, which due to the competition with Adidas.
To conclude, we should pay much attention to make the effort to find the balance of profit-producing and business ethics. Youths have already raises their awareness about this hotly debated issue, once they gain support and appropriate guidance from the collective society, the promising future is well in sight.
