新PREP中的一道题牵出一个还没搞懂的知识点求教

记得在看旧PREP解析的时候，有很多道题出现having done，如旧PREP97题，题目解释都说现在分词的完成时态不能作修饰语
所以这道题果断把AB排除了，但是答案却选择了A 所以没有搞懂这个知识点，是在什么情况下才不能做修饰语呢？求高手指点啊马上二战了心慌慌谢谢

prep08说，having done可以做非限定修饰

也可以这么记：having done不能作后置定语，但能做句子的状语。

我是从句子的结构来分析这道题的

Neuroscientists, having amassed a wealth of knowledge over the past twenty years about the brain and its development from birth to adulthood, are now drawing solid conclusions about how the human brain grows and how babies acquire language.

A. Neuroscientists, having amassed a wealth of knowledge over the past twenty years about the brain and its development from birth to adulthood, are==>主句是Neuroscientists are now drawing solid conclusions about how the human brain grows and how babies acquire language.，当中是插入修饰，从语法和句义上都没有问题，我放着没有排掉(defender)

B. Neuroscientists, having amassed a wealth of knowledge about the brain and its development from birth to adulthood over the past twenty years, and are==>和A不同在2个地方，插入句the past twenty years位置不同，其次就是多加了个AND，就因为这个and我拍掉这个选项。Neuroscientists and are now drawing solid conclusions about how the human brain grows and how babies acquire language 错误，

C. Neuroscientists amassing a wealth of knowledge about the brain and its development from birth to adulthood over the past twenty years, and are==>和B一样有AND错误

D. Neuroscientists have amassed a wealth of knowledge over the past twenty years about the brain and its development from birth to adulthood,==>这个句子就是把后半部分drawing solid conclusions about how the human brain grows and how babies acquire language当成了修饰句，但是drawing不能修饰前面的名词adulthood，相反内容应该是属于主句的，所以错误

我觉得prep08和07的不同在于以前认为很多错误的结构现在都可以认为是正确的，就想这年头being的使用一样，所以一开始别轻易的排选项。根据语法来排，别根据以前GMAT的偏好来排。我做题的习惯是，先看语法，再看句义，最后看简洁，最后的最后是偏好

请问，这里这个drawing为什么不能修饰主语啊，答案上说的是因为有 have amassed···，不是很明白，求解释，这里做主语的结果状语不行吗？
