关于argument的一个写法路数请教一下

我记得以前上学写议论文的时候老师说过的一些常用方法包括神马：摆事实，讲道理，举例子之类，这些都很常见啦在argument里面，不提了。
还有一种方法叫做：归谬法
就是顺着arguer的错误逻辑推下去，得出一个明显absurd的结论。由此反证arguer的逻辑是何等的ridiculous.
比如说第52题AA
52. The following editorial appeared in the Elm City paper.
“The construction last year of ashopping mall in downtown Oak City was a mistake. Since the mall has opened, anumber of local businesses have closed, and the downtown area suffers from anacute parking shortage, and arrests for crime and vagrancy have increased inthe nearby Oak City Park. Elm City should pay attention to the example of theOak City mall and deny the application to build a shopping mall in Elm City.”
好嘛，你既然认为这么多问题都是建shopping mall引起的，那就在全国都不要建好了。建好的也应该给拆了。这样一来世界就清静了。

看的范文也不算少了，但似乎没见到归谬这种写法。
心里没底哦，有木有同学这么写过的？
