OG 12 SC 86 关于which的指代

86. The results of the company‘s cost-cutting measures are evident in its profits， which increased 5 percent during the first 3 months of this year after it fell over the last two years.
C(正确选项) . which have increased 5 percent during the first 3 months of this year after falling.

这里which指代的是前面的profits，从意思上理解的通。只是which前面有个逗号，语法上这应该是非限制性定语从句，那么which应该修饰的是前面的整半句话。
一直迷惑which的指代问题，一般来说which指代的都是离它最近的词？还是有什么其他的原则？

在GMAT里，which是不能指代整句话的，一般指代就近的名词，有时会跳跃指代，具体你查一下群里的有些帖子，讲的很清楚。
