我不太理解解释里面这部分的misplaced modifier 是什么意思？over the past twenty years的位置要放在整个knowledge about内容后面吗？

misplaced modifier是指放错位置的修饰语。这个句子前半句是说神经学的科学家们，已经积累了过去20多年的丰富知识，这些知识是关于大脑以及大脑从出生到成年这个发展过程的知识。也就是说over the past twenty years 是修饰 a wealth of knowledge的。如果变成选项B就成了over the past twenty years 来修饰 its development from birth to adulthood，这就变成了大脑从出生到成年经历了20多年，不符合文章的逻辑。一般名词和修饰语必须互相靠近，就近修饰；如果修饰语靠近另外一个名词，则会产生误解。因此，这道题的修饰语over the last twenty years 要紧跟 a wealth of knowlegde.
