答案说causal sequence 是 visitor breath->moisture->salt crystal->chamber close for cleaning and repair.请问这个意思就是close的原因是salt crystal而不是breath 或者 moisture吗？？
还有答案中划线句错误的原因是 due to 这个短语 imprecise，使tourists' breath 和 closing for cleaning关系不明确请问怎么解释呢？due to 的用法是什么呢？

Manhattan的解释是，due to = caused by。。。如果不能替换为后者，就是错的。

og上的解释是说：
close和repair的直接原因是由于盐结晶，然后有解释说明了盐结晶是由游客呼吸产生的水分引起的。
所以close and repair不是直接由moisture引起的，而是盐结晶引起的。

due 是adj，要加be动词一起使用，be due to...

due to是短语, 短语一般直接修饰前面的对象, 所以OG会说这里的因果关系变成了repair和moisture的关系了.

due to的确imprecise，因为在书面语中逻辑关系应该用更明确更显著的连词表达出来，比如because等，due to有些非正式。
逻辑关系是这样的，造成cleaning and repair的不是moisture这个环节本身，而是游客呼吸产生moisture然后产生盐结晶这么一个因果链，因此要把整个因果链表述清楚而不是特意强调其中脱离的一环。因此用because连接句子能更加确切地表达整个原因。

关于D和E选项的代词them指代的问题为什么D不对 E却对了
我记得prep里面说过对于离them之前最近的复数名词如果them指代它有歧义则肯定有指代不清的问题。
现在有点糊涂了 E中的them 不就是指代了tourists了吗？？？
