Q38P63, E

考点:句子结构(Grammatical Construction)、逻辑表达(Logical Predication)
1) 修饰成分应该尽量靠近修饰对象
2) 逗号+ -ed形容词的结构中, -ed形容词从语法上修饰的是逗号前最后一个名词
3) 分词短语在句首起状语作用,逻辑主语等于句子主语
(A) when drafting…结构中缺乏逻辑主语; included…结构中缺乏句子主语 应该在included之前加
上一个what用来做was a call的主语; 即使上面两个问题修改后,句子结构仍然复杂,笨拙.
(B) that从句离修饰对象a draft太远, 给人感觉that从句修饰的是Convention; 整个句子结构笨拙
(C) 原句中没有标志表明要用过去完成时; a call for female enfranchisement had been included
in it.使用被动语态无法表示出施动者是谁,并且it指代模糊
(D) 整个句子缺乏谓语成分; included从语法上修饰enfranchisement, 而从逻辑上应该A call
(E) 正确, when连接完整的句子,that从句紧靠修饰对象,句子结构清晰,用词简洁
句子结构: When Elizabeth Cady Stanton drafted the Declaration of Sentiments that…, she
included in it…

C.that impose stricter limits on medical services, require doctors to see more patients, and spend

generally, you won't see a qs that can be solved by the difference between that clause and -ing/ed, but if you would like to say sth about their difference, I would say that clause is used more strictly to modify a noun. to make a sentence more clear, while in the case of -ing, you have to think about what is the subject of such action. and in Gmat, my personal opinion, -ing has a potential meaning that such action happens at the same time of the action in main sentence.

that subject of require and impose is the plan, while the subject of spending time should be the doctor. so they are not parallel.

In Gmat, 'when' means at that time and cannot be used introduce a conditional clause, it can only be used to modify a time. 'when' doesn't equal to 'if'.
B.a vantage point, when combined with her talent for writing, that made
B.a vantage point, if combined with her talent for writing, that made

E.When Elizabeth Cady Stanton drafted the Declaration of Sentiments that was adopted at the Seneca Falls Women’s Rights Convention in 1848, she included in it a call for female enfranchisement.

For this qs, you have to understand what the sentence tries to say. first of all, let's make clear the subject for each v.. subject for drafting is EC.stanton, subject of included is also EC.stanton. then why we have to use the an awkward structure in the second half of the sentence: included ... was the call of ... to emphasize the "call". so to make the sentence clear, E shows an clear structure as: when sb do..., she included in it sth...

说说33,A 后面的 to make 表示将来,错,原句并没有这层意思,再说了,to 表示将来 在gmat中是错的,应该用will
                C 中的it 有指代歧义,而且相比其他选项,这个选项中的it比较碍眼,一看就知道不是正确选项
D中的and this vantage point 缺谓语,而且 which 引导的定语从句中的 to make 同A中的 to make 表示将来 也是不对的
再来说说B,when combined with her talent for writing用的不好,从逻辑意思来看 ,就成了,这个优势有时和talent for writing结合,有时不结合,但只有在combined with her talent for writing ,才能使她成为one of the most valuable historians

33题A的错误不是这个吧。。觉得有些牵强。。。C的it应该是指this vantage point 吧。。
请牛牛们再帮忙分析一下ABC选项吧!

32题, 我怎么才知道 spending是修饰see的?在考试的时候,我如何才知道啊?

不要看了答案,然后说,是spending修饰see的~

我们应该如何训练和培养才能在考试的时候知道 spending修饰see?
