本题答案没有问题，只是一直想不清楚，本题的比较的对象分别是什么？是 profits in the second quarter 和（profits）analysts had expected

analysts had expected 前是不是省略了 profits?

恩~我觉得就是实际下降的profit与analysts预期会下降的profit对比不过我觉得这个地方应该不是在analysts前面省略了profit ，因为比较的应该是decline这个动作，所以这个句子后面应该是than analysts had expected the profit to decline

个人观点哈~~不知道对否~
