这题翻了翻旧帖子，好像没有人在问 as they are 的are的问题啊？我想问下as as前后要对称，前面是the drivers will be （as likely to exceed the speed limit as ）they are，主语drivers后面不是情态动词 will吗，are不应该换成 will才对吗？ ……as they will exceed the current one ，不是很好吗？

as they are 省略的是as they are (likely to exceed)
will是将来时
