C 哪里错呢？E中99 percent 是复数？

这道题是选E么？因为我感觉ABCD都有错。。。99 percent后面肯定跟复数格，因为是99 percent （of the five hundred million different species of living creatures）

（B）我认为有两个问题。第一就是主语和谓语离的太远了，使得句子变的拖沓。第二，five hundred million different species of living creatures前面应该有定冠词the表特指，特指creatures that have appeared on Earth。

（D）同样缺少定冠词the，并且前半句已经有介词of.....了，后半句中又说of them，此处of them是多余的。
