top30的admissoin和tier3的全奖，选哪个？

老公在美东读书，所以我申请的时候只考虑了这个地区，现在有top30 学校的admissoin和tier3学校的全奖，到底选哪个，请教大家的意见。

因为居住的区域机会很多，ier3学校在当地的名誉也不错，毕业之后应该还是有机会，如果能在美国找到工作差别也不是很大，但是如果考虑到以后回国发展，当然是top30 学校的名声更好一些，只是要自己负担所有的费用实在是不爽，尤其是另外一个学校给了全奖，大家会怎末选呢？

tier 3? by what standard? is it ranking after 100?

anyway, I guess your hubby is a phd student. you don't really know where he will end up after graduation. in this case, get a top 30 MBA will help you a great deal. That tier-3 won't help you much when you leave the city limit.

the ranking is based on CD's category, and US news ranks that school around 60.

I think the success to application is that you should have a fair record, GPA in undergraduate, good GMAT score(better 700+ of you want to be admitted by top 30 B school), good TOEFL score, good past working experience, clear about your career goal, well-written essay to show which kind of person you are, and strongly recommended you to take face to face interview instead of phone interview, well prepared for the interview. Since you already in the States, you should take this advantage.

Frankly speaking, I'm kind of regret and even have the idea of start all over again since I didn't take the application very seriously from the begining, I submitted my application in the last minute. You should be serious from very begining and apply as early as you can and you will have big chance to get financial assistance.

If I were you, I would choose to go to the top 20 b-schools. MBA is all about the name recognition no matter wherever your are, in China or in U.S.

miaoyin_tx, thanks for your advice, I do have feeling of regret if I reject the top30, the school's location is great, lots of opportunties around and great facilities of the B school building, I almost fall in love with it when I first saw it, however financial burden is really a big issue. If I can get half scholarship, I will definitely go there. Now I'm asking for the school to see if they can allocate any financial assistance for me, hope me good luck.
