求助一道XDF语法题

The sale of government surplus machinery will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until the supply lasts.
(A) will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until the supply lasts

(B) begins at 9 a.m., continuing until the supply lasts

(C) will begin at 9 a.m. and, until the supply lasts, will continue

(D) begins at 9 a.m. and, as long as the supply may last, it continues（E）

(E) will begin at 9 a.m. and continue as long as the supply lasts

主要考察的应该是Parallelism和Logic Prediction吧
A）until 前面通常会有否定内容，not...until
B)continuing缺乏谓语动词
C)还是until,而且will begin...will continue很wordy
D)前面是the sale说明特指，用begins是一般现在时，表示一个通常的状态，语义不符
E)正确，begin...continue对称，as long as..表示sale will continue的前提，语义符合

我不记得是不是在哪里看到说continue不能用进行时的。。。是不是记错了= =求解答。。。

不知道我记得对不对，OG好像是认为，unitl如果前面主句没有否定(not等)，会有歧义，请大家拍砖
