答案是E，我选的B。
看了解释，可是还是不理解，为什么 The phrase 55 percent more delays is not as clear as the phrase a 55 percent increase in delays。

有没有哪位高手可以帮忙解释一下啊？谢啦谢啦~~~

delay不用MORE，用INCREASE修饰。何况你用MORE了以后，THAN没有啊

题意应该是航班延误率，或延误的航班数量增加，所以才用an increase of 55 percent in delays ，表示一个量的增长
但C中的...a 55 percent increase in delay at airports and prompt. 不清楚，不知道是使航班的延误时间增加了55%, 还是延误的航班数量。且它用的单数，如果可能则只可能指延误时间。而这只对一个航班才比较说得过去的。但可想而知，不太合理。因为既然影响到整个air-traffic系统，那就不止一个航班了，所以.....呵呵~

3楼说的对，我认为关键是在理解55 percent more delay和55 percent increase in delays上面，B选项不如E清楚的描述了。延误航班肯定要用复数的delay.

B 55 percent more delay is unclear.

不管你delay用单数还是复数都不行，wtf ～～

55%表示的是个数字概念, increase也是个数字概念. 所以55% increase 更加符合书面用语习惯.

多看看wsj, economist之类的文章就会熟悉这种表达方式了.

我觉得 an increase 是固定说法中间加了一个55 % 所以an 就变成a 了
