4月底就考T了。。。这种水平真是情何以堪啊。从小到大 憋作文 就是我最难受的一件事,现在还要用英语憋出来。。。。。请大神们指教。。还有,这水平大概可以拿几分??(文章是用word打的,有一些拼写错误我在括号里改过来了) The emergence of television in the last century is one of the greatest invention(s) in history. Television has provided a new lifestyle for many people since a lot of people, especially the children spend a maltitude(multitude) of time watching TV programs. The purpose of TV is mainly entertaining public. However, in my point of view, television also makes contribution to developing the standards of education.
At the very beginning, it’s undeniable that television serves as an(a) very effective tool to widespread the information. Before the emergence of television, people have to attain the lecture to receive knowledge. This could sometimes be very inconvenient, particularly for the students who are living far away from the school campus. While, with the help of television, some educational lecture may happen in students’ homes instead of the school classrooms. Students can watch the lectures recorded by others, which could definitely save a lot of time and energy wasting in the way between home and school. The standard of education could be improved since students get more time available for further research or discussion.
In addition, television has provided a variety ways to educate public instead of merely lecturing. We can notice that a lot of TV programs are both attractive and valuable in terms of knowledge. For instance, the Discovery channel, which is also one of my favourite(favorites), conveys a great deal of knowledge of science, sociology, biology and so forth in the means of very interesting programs. Lecturing is considered too boring to be attained by most of people. On the contrary, the attractive TV programs are much easier to be accepted to educate the public.
Admittedly, some critics would appear against the arguments demonstrated above. Some people would argue that the function of television is to amuse people. The audiences usually are relaxed when they are watching TV. Therefore it’s not effective to educate them by this approach since they are will be as concentrated as in the classroom. This is true in some extent, however, I can not(cannot) agree with it totally. I believe that there is no conflict between entertainment and education. We could get educated and entertained and the same time, as long as we package and distribute the knowledge in a good manner. Therefore the merits of television in terms of improving education standard should not be denied.
