sb use sth to do sth.

it不能省,它是这个定语从句的主语...(that) it received from the United States...

sb receive sth from sb
但sth is received from sb就好像没有见过,念起来也不顺口

I agree with Lavie. I don't think you can omit "it" since it refers to "Japan" not "captial". At least something is confusing here, that's why it cannot be omitted.

"help to do sth" 中的 "to"可以省略的,谢谢勤劳的心静

1)[adj]  widely accepted as true or worthy; 例如 "a received moral idea"; "Received political wisdom says not; surveys show otherwise"- Economist

2)[adj]  (linguistics) conforming to the established language usage of educated native speakers; 例如 "Received standard English is sometimes called the King's English" (British)

A.to see whether pigeons can be trained to help find
B.to see whether pigeons can be trained as help to find
C.to see if pigeons can be trained for helping to find
D.that see if pigeons are able to be trained in helping to find
E.that see whether pigeons are able to be trained for help in finding
