Points in the lecture: 1. Population will increase by 13% in next full years but the efficiency can only increase by 10% with the new technology. 3. Reading： 一个学生给学校写了一封信，建议学校增加一个break in fall semester just before mid exam. 1st students can relax themselves. 2nd they can some time off to get prepared for the exam. 问题是男生的态度及原因。 男生同意这个建议。1st，this is especially good for first year student who needs sometime to get adjusted to the new college life. Both the way to live and the paces of study are different from high school. 2nd, they will have so many projects to do for the midterm, the break will allow them some time to get projects done.

Reading : 题目是Reference Alarm Call。文章的意思是说动物遇到predator会发出声音来警告同伴。而且遇到不同的predator发出的声音还不同。而同伴相對的额反应也是不一样的。 Lecture： 教授用一种什么Cat做例子解释了一下这个概念。这种猫是住在地下的，但是会到地上来找吃的。他们expose to predators both from the air and the ground. 当他们遇到鸟之类来自天空的，他们会发出very loud noise. 同伴听到这种声音会立刻躲到地底下。但当他们遇到地上的敌人，比如蛇，他们会发出另一种声音（听力中说的就是make a different sound, 没有具体描述），同伴听到这种声音的时候，他们就会聚集起来，把蛇吓跑。

对话2： 学生去找老师的时候老师正好业要找学生，因为学生们要做展览的那个地方要装修。所以地方不够或者缩短时间。学校要在他们做展览的那面墙上装一个大窗户。学生很惊讶，因为她看到通知说学校要在那个地方做些改善，学生觉得很搞笑，因为她的小组正准备在那堵墙上画一个带室外景象的窗户的画，因为他们觉得那个地方很小很暗。老师觉得这个创意很好。学生提到老师要求project和课程内容相关，她因此担心。老师说，其实他们后半学期的内容有相关的内容，说这种作画方式是用real things to make room more brighter and spacious.(有题） 题目：1. 展览有什么问题？ 学校要装修。 2。 那种作画方法的特点是什么？有两个选项我拿不准，一个是说用real things。另一个是bright colors are used to make room bigger. 3。重听题，学生听到学校要装window很惊讶的那部分。问为什么说那句话，我选的是她不人为那是一个小的改动。
