请教 and 和 as well as 的区别

The conjunction as well as implies that business had already been the most popular major for men and that in 1985, for the first time, it became the most popular major for both sexes
答案是A这点没有问题，我想问一下OG解释中and 和 as well as 的区别。一般而言，他们的用法有什么区别？

我以前只知道：and是并列关系，as well as 是附属关系，重心上有区别。

这里似乎要表达：and 是“和”的意思，as well as是“也”的意思，

不吓猜献丑了，请牛人指点吧

好问题! 偶也来抛一块砖头: and连接的人或事是完全对等的.如此题若用and表明对women的所有情况(IN the fall ...ten percent..)对men也适用, 并对men making了相同的结果.显然是不对的. as well as 两边的则不对等,强调前者.表明两者在某点相同

i don't know the difference of the 2 words which is discussed as above. but i think 'and' can be used here as follows: "and for men as well". pay attention to "as well"

有一点：as well as也是要求对等的吧。麻烦各位再看一个例子：
OG 241. As well as heat and light, the Sun is the source of a continuous stream of atomic particles known as the solar wind.

(B)    Besides heat and light, also the Sun is the source of a continuous stream
(C)    Besides heat and light, the Sun is also the source of a continuous streaming
(D)    The Sun is the source not only of heat and light, but also of a continuous stream
(E)    The Sun is the source of not only heat and light but, as well, of a continuous streaming
OG解释中有这样一段话：Choices A, B, and C have modification errors: As well as heat and light and Besides heat and light cannot logically modify the Sun, the nearest noun, as grammar requires them to do. This misdirected modification suggests that heat and light are also (in addition to the Sun) a source of the solar wind.
As well as 是表示一种修饰关系？

as well as 两边在形式上当然要对等,但在作用上不对等,强调前者.

楼上对a的解释不错，但对as well as的解释就四级语法了。这是gmat,我不明白大家为什么一直要浪费时间去讨论这些无关痛痒的东西。ets会单考and和as well as么？换句话说，大家看到过一道sc有俩其他一样，只有and和as well as区别的选项么？可能有一天ets会出，按照简洁选and就行了，但出这种题的可行性非常非常小，因为ets把这两词都作为典型正确的连接词。
大家要快速提高该怎么着，别抠这种东西，把宝贵的时间用来提高看题的逻辑意思、分析句子和选项结构的能力，这是实打实的能提高你sc正确率的东西！

不选E的原因不是因为as well as和and的区别，而是因为成分结构不对等吧。
