虽然一眼就看出考rivalry between A and B这个idiom选了C, 但是还是在her的指代问题上纠结了一把。第二遍总结OG的时候很认真的把这个当做一个问题查各大网站——第一次做OG的时候压根么看后半句，因此对OG的解释也就深信不疑了。但！第二次认真看的时候发现了后半句还有一个her,然后仔细看了一下整个句子，发现这句话出现了两个her,那么第一个her的指代是谁呢？

如果按照idiom选了official answer的C选项，那么对于her前面出现的两个人名，是否就又新生了指代不清的问题？

olive和basil（橄榄和罗勒叶？！）连在英国这么多年的在下都不知道basil是男子名，倒是知道这是一种做肉（尤其是三杯鸡必备的）香草，还是看了另外一个帖子同学们得解释才发现第一个her不可能有指代不清的问题。而GMAT本身由于经常挖idiom的陷阱让各位cder不得不小心谨慎的对待idiom,从而在这样出现了可能指代不清的题上浪费时间的可能。

chancellor我理解的应该是个姓。

我的理解是这样的: 这两个her 一个出现在主句里，是就近指代；
第二个，her 指代是这定语从句的主语 whose。

关于指代，就这两种形式了。

C选项的正确性我可以得出来，但是我又觉得C无故加上develop不对啊~~实义动词不是不能随意添加的么？？这里添加怎么是正确的呢
