Over the course ofthe eighteenth century, the average output of ironwork tripled as a result ofseveral improvements in blowing machinery and because coal replaced charcoal asthe fuel used in the smelting of iron ore.

那D为什么前半部分不能使独立主格做伴随状语？我觉得如果前面是伴随状语没有错误啊
并且A太不靠谱了吧，这么明显的不平行当答案
D相对来说已经是最平行的了

我觉得“Coal代替charcoal作为fuel”：所以for the fuel的表达错误，排除BD，再由being排除CE

我觉得B错就错在主语变了。
按照原句A选项的意思，应该是the average output做主语，而B中a tripling in the average output的中心词变成了a tripling,重心改变
这题我也选B了，不过后来仔细看，觉得就这一点足矣区别A,B的不同了。。

B 错在改变句子的结构了，句子原先是output of ironwork tripled 是由于 coal replaced charcoal和blow machine的improvement等等原因造成，句子重心还在tripled，后面两个原因起解释说明作用。B改写成句子重心在后面两个原因，改变原文意思。
C 介词+物主+being done 肯定错
D看不出分居和主句存在任何关联，如果分句前面加上Because of，可能考虑选这个
E肯定错
