正解是E。关于C选项，我有一个新发现的小问题，就是C里面最后的那个them，OG说them指代不清，可是跟E选项比较，一个是many of them,一个是many of whom，为什么whom就能明确的指代people，而them不可以？them除了指代people，它在这里还能指代什么？

them 不对是因为 C中的but in Laos with population of only four million people没有主语， them 作为代词优先指代句子中的主语，所以这里them 没有明确指代对象，既可以指代laos, 也可以是people.
