D为什么不对呢？cut in half 和cut to half 的区别是什么？

为什么B中要用while?我觉得应该直接用cutting....

我刚才自己查到了，

cut in half 是 “切成两半”

cut to half 是 “减去一半，减成一半”

所以D的确不对。

但B似乎也不对啊。while cutting = while the mechanization of farming was cutting .....

但文中应该是强调的两个并列的结果，而不是说“当机械化降低成本的时候，使产量翻倍了”。

如果D中的cut in 改成cut to，那这个选项应该是最好的吧？

不知道我的问题是不是有点转牛角尖了，但希望有人可以跟我一起探讨一下！

mechanization of farming比farming mechanization表达清晰。原文前半句用although..cost高了，所以后半句用while表示一定的对比意思。
