答案选C没有问题，但是不明白这句话的主语是什么，而且要是划线部分是eighteenth century saw the emergence..的话，我一定会以为这个是错的

这个是所谓的无主句就是十八世纪见证了后面的宾语如果是划线部分一定是对的读高中的时候老师特意说的你查一下语法书
