答案是C,可是为什么A不对啊？？

因为后面是 in the form of carbon dioxide，最好紧接着修饰对象 Carbon.

这里最关键的是后面有个and

能跟converting it to energy-rich sugars并列的显然只有acquiring carbon，而A选项没有体现这层并列，所以错。
