关于OG12-14appear的用法问题

我想问下CDE选项中的appear as的用法正确么？OG答案中没有提到过，讨论贴中也没有，但是貌似没有这个用法吧，而且原句中没有appear是不是在这里加入appear不合适

Longman上面说到了appear用法，有appear to do, it appears that, appear to be something, 意思是seem就是看起来的样子，我觉得更多强调的是出场时候的状态而不是一个客观存在了很久的事实，比如XX穿着什么衣服或者以什么身份登场可以用appear，但是如果是太阳黑子用不对，因为太阳黑子是一个客观存在的事实，只能被表述成visible的

appear as是没有问题的，是正确的idiom用法

以下是由manhattan GMAT prep中摘抄出来的：
Imperfections appear as tiny cracks. appear as=show up as
He appears confused. appears=seems
另外还有一种题目中出过的appear用法：
The dinosaurs appear to have been relatively smart. (= It appears that the dinosaurs were smart.)

我觉得appear as是对的，但是我看到有论坛里讨论说后三个选项中的appear跟sight重复，我也觉得很困惑。
支持一下2L的阿尔法柔笼，应该从逻辑层面考虑这个问题！
