A. more so than those who retired
B. which was more than if they had retired
C. more than when retiring
D. more than if they were to retire
E. which was more so than those retiring
答案是A 我选成了E
看了几个讨论帖，比较倾向于把A视为省略：more (women reported) so than (did) those who retired completely
想再问问：A在句中作什么成分？

A中women （who took new jobs after retiring from their primary careers） reported high , more so than those （who retired completely）
more...than...前后主语应平行，所以more前是woman则than后应该是those指代women，
如果选择E，则which就近修饰marital satisfaction
比较对象变成了satisfaction和those（women），就不平行了哟~

补全应该是这样的:

more so (reported high marital satisfaction) than those (women) who retired completely did (reported high marital satisfaction)

A study (主语)on couples' retirement transitions(定语,修饰a study) found (谓语)that(宾语从句) women(从句主语) who took new jobs after retiring from their primary careers(定于从句, 修饰从句主语women) reported(从句谓语) high marital satisfaction(从句宾语), more so than those who retired completely(从句状语).

单看A 觉得不太顺，但是，细想， more so than those who retired completely
这里，those 指代women
so 表示，如此，这样的,指代 high martial satifaction
例如: just do so,不说 just do this.

我也是这么认为的，虽然A没有E顺眼，但A是最合理的。
