(A) Even though its per capita foodsupply hardly increased during 为什么不可以？during+过去时间可以用一般过去时，而且题目意思没有非要表达延续至今或者对现在造成影响啊。

P13. 3. For many travelers, chartervacations often turn out to cost considerably more than they originallyseemed.
(B) they seemingly would costoriginally 错在哪里？

P14. 5. Although it was expected thatworkers under forty would show hostility to the plan, the research reportindicates that both younger and older people approve of governmentalappropriations for Social Security.
(E) people who are younger and those whoare older为什么错？是不是因为罗嗦？那答案这样也算是对称？

P6. 4. Because young children do not organize their attention or perceptions systematically, as adults do,they may notice and remember details that their elders ignore.
(D) like adults 为什么不可以？这两个选项有什么区别？

以下原句中划线部分均为正确答案。
P3. 9. The report on the gross nationalproduct – the nation’s total product of goods and services – showed that second-quarter inflation was somewhat lower than previously estimated and that the savings rate was slightly higher.

问：划线部分的that算什么语法现象？

P6. 4. Because young children do not organize their attention or perceptions systematically, as adults do,they may notice and remember details that their elders ignore.
(D) like adults 为什么不可以？这两个选项有什么区别？

P6. 5. Los Angeles has a higher number of family dwellings per capita than does any other large city.问：does可否去掉？

P6. 7. According to surveys by the National Institute on Drug Abuse, about 20 percent of young adults used cocaine in 1979,twice the number reported in the 1977 survey.
问：twice后面为什么不需要as?

问：这是虚拟语气么？虚拟语气中should不是应该去掉么？

1/. 划线部分的that引导showed的第二个宾语从句, showed that...and that...

2/. as adults do引导比较, 前面是个句子, 后面也需要一个句子, Pararrel.

3/. does不能去, pararrel前面句子里的has, 否则不能构成平行结构.

4/. 这里的twice是动词.

5/. 划线部分充当主语, 这里的用法不是虚拟语气.

6/. one of+复数名词的结构,谓语动词的单复要根据后面成分的逻辑意思来判断. 但是the only one +复数名词, 谓语单.

最后, 以上均为个人理解, 欢迎NN拍砖.

4/. 这里twice不是动词...不知道刚才偶在想虾米. 这里的用法是倍数+the+名词.. 5 times / twice + the + noun.

like在GMAT里不可以用作举例子。只能用作介词。所以要用as。然后那个do我觉得是因为在和主语比较所以助动词要补出吧？！

does还是因为在做主语比较所以补出的吧。而且我觉得这个does直接跟在than后面补出来应该是倒装的。
但是关于这个助动词does的补出我也不知道为什么就一定要补出。其实我觉得没有其它可以参与比较的名词了，而且也不涉及时间不同吧。为什么要一定要补出？同问。

twice是个副词。

这道题我之前也研究很久。后来问了老师。
是这样的。
这句话分号后面是主从句双倒装并插入中间。我觉得特复杂！
Developing nations in various parts of the world have amassed $700 billion in debts; at stake, should a significant number of these debts be repudiated, is the solvency of some of the world’s largest multinational banks.
主语是solvency
should......是虚拟条件句倒装。
当碰到这种句子的时候，把if省略，把should/have/would提前~

关于那个one of every two new businesses 和 one of four babies 。主语不是one吗。。。所以单数。。。

我就知道这些了。。。不保证对的。额。

P6. 4. like adult的like不是举例，是说像。这为什么不能当一个插入语，因为删掉也不影响，那么也就不用对称了。
还有最后那个单复数的问题，XDF老师是这么说的：
定语从句内部的主谓搭配问题：
one of n.[pl.] that + 谓语复数
only one of n.[pl.] that + 谓语单数
问题不是定语从句呢？其他地方是怎么用的？

P11. 4. 我觉得1L说作主语是对的。。。虚拟语气是必须要省略should的。
顺便提醒下一楼的童鞋，parallel不是那么拼的。。。

主语是solvency
should......是虚拟条件句倒装。
我还是觉得这是没错的。因为分好后面本来也就是主从双倒装插入的啊~
另外虚拟语气不是都必须省略should。有特例的。
还有那个parallel什么了？米有看懂。。。额。

like确实是像。我傻了。。。

好像ls说得也对，如果划线部分是主语，为什么主谓之间还要用逗号隔开。。。
