答案是e 。选的时候，根据平行结构的句式，我首先就淘汰了a b e... 这道题难道不是because... because 的平行结构么？？

我觉得这个题的答案这么分析：首先看划线部分后面有and，知道要用平行。所以呢排除A和B。

接下来看and后面的部分partly because crossbreeding is said to provide hybird vigor是一个SVO形式的句子，这样再排除C。

D主要错在这个被动语态的逻辑不通。“原文”（即A选项的内容）说的是某种特性显现在steers上，而D选项说的是这种特性是从steers得到的。另外如果你知道steers是阉牛的话，你就更不会选D了。

所以只有E咯

另补充一点：
在群里讨论的时候，一个NN曾经说个这样的分析，拿来跟大家分享：
其实是partly (because crossbreeding is said) to acquire certain characteristics in their steers and partly because crossbreeding is said to provide hybird vigor.
前面括号里面的东西因为在后半部分重复出现，所以被省略掉的。

结合BENNYWANG的分析，ACQUIRE的逻辑主语是crossbreeding。而某些特征是要体现在steers身上，而不是由他们身上获得。
