not...but的平行问题

想要问下B选项， not后面是a "blank slate",明显是名词啊；而but后面是comprises,明显是动词，这不就明显不对称了吗？

求大神指教！！！

看平行，首先找tag，即平行词，这里是BUT
然后第二步，从右至左，即but(instead)后的内容是comprises...(VERB)
第三部找but前能与之相对应的只有is...(VERB)
所以，这题的平行结构其实是【is not a "blank slate"】与【comprises...】平行

你觉得这么说能解决你的疑问么？
