选C。不是很明白。

我觉得这是在考redundancy吧，就是两帮人人在做exercise的问题，一个是heart patients另一个是athletes，ABDE都是赘述，应该把exercise合并，更简洁明了。

as well as和both…and…，前后形式要对称，概念要对等。

ABD as well as 前后exercise 与exercising形式不对称。

E both…and…前后exercising 与exercise形式不对称。

永远错误的形式

AB doing sth. is done by sb.永远错，doing和 done意思上重复。

不能改变原句的合理重心

原句broadcasting放在名词后作定语修饰transmitters。

D broadcasting放在句首作状语，改变原句合理重心。

但是我觉得C还是不够好：as well as ……本来在原句中是插入语，但在C 中被用作主语，其实是改变原意和句子中心了～～
