【manhattan】第十章ODDS & ENDS STRATEGY 这一节
关于：Rule #3: The Number or Number O/versus A NumOer or The Numbers Of （p189）里面有段话不太理解。。。

However, numbers is possible in a few contexts. If you wish to make a comparison, use greater than, not more than (which might imply that the quantity of numbers is larger, not the numbers themselves).

Wrong: The rare Montauk beaked griffin is not extinct; its NUMBERS are now suspected to be much MORE than before.
Right: The rare Montauk beaked griffin is not extinct; its NUMBERS are now suspected to be much GREATER than before.

不太理解这里关于"greater than"和"more than"的区别是什么，more than括号里的解释是神马意思？
大家说说这里怎么理解吧~~

是不是greater than是形容数字比较大（numbers），而more than则用来形容数量比较多（quantity）？
