answer is D, but why" applied +using" is correct, 求教again.....

16. 偶XDF的黄皮书上D划线的是instead from，从语感及固定搭配上说偶觉得应改为instead of，不过这里不懂of 和on 两个介词是否可以连用？照waterfrog的改法different from on glass 也是两个介词连用，不明白的说!

34. applied using a knife 这里的用法也不太明白，虽然读上去好像满顺的，不过是不是应该加by啊？有没有语法的说法啊？

的确是instead of 最好，different from 有些牵强，但是我以为题目是那样，所以…………两个介词没什么问题的吧，不要光看这是两个介词，要看这句话，instead of 是固定短语，而on a mettal plate 和 on glass是instead of 所连接的两个短语。英语里面其实还是有一些情况两个介词连用的，he jumped out from behind the sofa.

34题用by 很不舒服，by somebody会舒服一点吧

谢谢waterfrog，偶想通了，其实应该是一种省略：captured images on sth. instead of (images) on sth.

34. 还是没搞懂，cited from Longman:
