此题的答案是A，笔记上解释说B中的两个of意思不对了，实在不解，怎么就能根据原句判断基因到底应该是多少了呢？？

其实很简单
不在于数量多少，而在于数量的表达方式

80，000个左右的基因
应该表达成 the 80，000 or so genes
而不应该表达成80，000 or so of the genes

如果没有写出明确数量，只有模糊修饰，如a number, a lot, 那么要加of
a number of genes, a lot of genes
如果写出明确数量，那就不能加of，只能是80，000 genes, 不能说 80，000 of genes

谢谢您的回答，如果是想表达80000个左右的基因那没问题肯定是The 80，000 or so genes，此时的意思是总共就80，000左右的基因，但B的意思是80，000只是更多基因的一部分，两者意思是不同的吧？？笔记上说这么说不是不合理...
