两个有关财力证明的问题，在线等

收到了一所学校的录取通知书，现在要提交财力证明,这所学校给我了免一半学费的奖，不过还是有两个问题，向大家请教：

1、“you will receive a half-tuition waiver, less the $500 tuition deposit required of all students"

是不是说除了半奖以外，不用再交500元的定金了？

2. “ the award is worth more than $25,000 over the two years of the program."

而在财力证明的表上说，non-resident 的一年学费是 28050，

按上面学校说给我免一半的学费，那我在下面的source of support（这里指第一年的资金来源）中的scholarship是填写 25000/2= 12500

还是填写 28050/2= 14025 呢。

谢谢了，by the way, 看了表格中学校还比较友善，生活费和书费给了范围，让自己根据自己的生活水平填写。我只好全照最低的来算，结果一年也有了5万USD,两年10万。FT。我又按照最高来算，呵呵，两年13万。老美的生活费真高。

你是全免学费么？如果是，那就是28050/2= 14025，否则学校应该给出一个确切的数目。

因为28050是一年的学费，那是不是我自己填写28050/2=14025就对了？

弱弱的再问xihui同学一下，less不是减少的意思么，所以我猜是不用再交了，请再指点一下。

for the first sentence, I agree with xihui, you HAVE to pay 500.00 deposit and that does not count towards your "half-scholarship".

for the second question, use 14025 as the number to fill your form
