No, I didn't do it. To me, it makes no sense whatsoever to have someone who doesn't know you at all, give you comments about what you should change. The essays should be about who you are- and someone who doesn't know you won't know who you are.
In fact, probably the worst essays I've read are those that have plenty of help from alumni. They end up losing the writer's voice completely.
Thanks to Jason for ur reply. Actually, I have a question for u. I personally intended to apply to Business School immediately after graduation, but many people told me that it was impossible to get into a business school without work experience basically. I know u made it a success to Wharton and Wharton was a school that really emphasized decent work experience. So I was just wondering how a successful application should be look like for a guy who wanted to apply to B-school right after undergraduate.
