一道语法题，没思路，求助

答案选D。这题完全没有思路，可以排除E ，但是其他的选项怎么分析呢？

O-college was a institution in deciding to accept women as student at its founding in 1833
O-c是一所学校，以接受女子而闻名，在1833它被建成的时候。

这里有个句型比较常用 : A is B in doing sth. 意思是A之所以成为B是因为doing sth。或者翻译为A是B，因为doing sth。
