关于 MBA offer deposit

考试的时间导致更喜欢也更难申请到的学校只能R2了，

要是R1 被录取，R2 还没消息，能不能先交了R1 的 non-refundable deposit，如果R2被录取，毁约R1的话，会不会有信用上的问题？

应该不会，否则人家也不会说这是non-refundable了

the same dillemma here...i've been thinking through it again and angain and guess no perfect solution but to write an explanation email to the school u'd like to decline...try to be nice in the email...sometimes in this world u just can't keep everyone happy...what's ironic is that, this situation could be an ideal example of ethical dillemma, which many bschools will ask about

这种做法是不行的，影响中国人的信用，也影响你个人的信用，如果你交押金没去，可能会导致其他已经录取你的学校取消你的录取，美国有一个415协议，虽然很多学校从时间上不遵守415，但是惩罚上，他们还是按照这个协议办，最好不要冒险。

刚搜了搜bw forum,上面有人说去年 duke early action一有为青年交了deposit没去，结果遭到追杀，险些落马, 汗ing

看下4。15的内容：

Resolution Regarding Graduate Scholars, Fellows, Trainees and Assistants

Acceptance of an offer of financial support (such as a graduate scholarship, fellowship, traineeship, or assistantship) for the next academic year by a prospective or enrolled graduate student completes an agreement that both student and graduate school expect to honor. In that context, the conditions affecting such offers and their acceptance must be defined carefully and understood by all parties.

Students are under no obligation to respond to offers of financial support prior to April 15; earlier deadlines for acceptance of such offers violate the intent of this Resolution. In those instances in which a student accepts an offer before April 15, and subsequently desires to withdraw that acceptance, the student may submit in writing a resignation of the appointment at any time through April 15. However, an acceptance given or left in force after April 15 commits the student not to accept another offer without first obtaining a written release from the institution to which a commitment has been made. Similarly, an offer by an institution after April 15 is conditional on presentation by the student of the written release from any previously accepted offer. It is further agreed by the institutions and organizations subscribing to the above Resolution that a copy of this Resolution should accompany every scholarship, fellowship, traineeship, and assistantship offer.

The following list includes CGS member institutions that indicated their support of the Resolution.

1.根据“ 4 · 15 协议”的规定，每年 4 月 15 日之前，中国申请者可以在已经给予录取和奖学金的学校中任意选择，或者不对学校的录取和奖学金通知作出任何接受或拒绝的最终答复，因为在此期间申请者对于任何接受学校录取和奖学金的承诺或保持的缄默状态都不需要承担任何责任。

2.如果学校明确要求申请者在 4 月 15 日之前作出答复、甚至宣称“如不尽早答复要取消录取和奖学金”时，可以按照“ 4 · 15 协议”的具体规定向校方据理力争。根据以往的经验，签约学校一般都会遵循 4 月 15 日的最后期限，而很多非签约学校也会同意以 4 月 15 日为界限。

3.申请者决定自己最终去向的时间不能超过 4 月 15 日，而且应该在可能的条件下尽早通知各个学校自己的最后决定。在拒绝一所学校时，应尽量把已经收到的各类录取和奖学金资料（包括 I-20 表格）在 4 月 15 日之前寄回。当然，书面的材料不一定必须在 4 月 15 日之前送达被拒绝的学校，但电子邮件通知一定要在 4 月 15 日之前发送。

4.如果申请者在 4 月 15 日之后反悔，受损害的学校有权要求所有签署协议的其它学校拒绝录取该申请者，从而丧失留学的机会，对个人、乃至全体中国申请者的声誉都会造成不良影响。

deposit 一个月前就交乐, I20现在还没收到，如果现在拒绝对方，应该不算违反415吧
