Just received an email from University of Kansas that they will refund the application fee to me because they are not going to hire a student in accounting after the deadline...... Man, what a sign of bad luck.....I love this school so much and it is 7 schools which I am ok confident on getting into.
What happened to the accounting school of many universitiesss??? many of them are not hiring this year, dude. Dont know what happened.
Hope that it will never happen to any of my application later. The email is as follows:
It is with regret that I must inform you that the University of Kansas, School of Business, will not be admitting students this year to our Accounting doctoral program. It is a particularly painful decision to make given the fact that there were many exceptional candidates in this year’s applicant pool. While we are suspending admissions this year, the faculty and staff of the School of Business are fully committed to the doctoral programs in business and we will resume admissions to the Accounting program next year. Since this decision does not reflect a decision on your qualifications as an applicant, the School of Business will be refunding your US $65 application fee. That refund is currently being processed and you should receive a check from the university within the next four-to-six weeks. I sincerely regret that we cannot offer you the opportunity to pursue your education at the University of Kansas. Thank you for your interest in our doctoral program. I wish you the best in your future academic endeavors. |
