同学们,帮帮忙修改,欢迎拍砖! “as technologies and the demand for certain services change, many workers will lose their jobs. The responsibilities for those people to adjust to such change should belong to the individual worker, not to government or to business.”
When facing the job obsolescence due to technology advance or demand change, some persons contends that individuals affected should take the responsibilities by themselves to adapt the changes. Conversely, some others argue that the government and business should be the one who can be relied on. Both parties of people consider the issue only on their own perspectives and over-emphasize their opinions; therefore, they outlook the complexities of the controversy. From my point of view, in reality both the person who loses job and government or companies that initiate the changes need to take the indispensable responsibilities to adjust to such changes.
On the one hand, every worker should keep learning job-related skills and techniques in such a society with fast development of technologies. The individual needs studies and trainings not only in college but also in a company. The courses help the works keep pace with the development of technologies easily and give them confidence to face current complex tasks. For example, almost every company will allocate funds for employees to study or continue the pursuit of degrees, which gives an opportunity to them to enhance capabilities. The improvements of performance and promotion for them can illustrate their wise choices to grape the studying chances.
On the other hand, the government and cooperates have the indispensable responsibilities to help citizens and workers to pass through the big change. Normally, the changes in technology and demand are the result from new invents industrialized or reconstruction of a companies. In such situation, the original workers hardly have time or choice to encounter the changes. However, the organization, no matter the government or the cooperate, should plan the arrangement of current worker even before the implementation of changes in technology.
Furthermore, giving opportunities to retrain workers in obsolete services also help companies and government quickly adapt in the new environment, meanwhile, rehiring previous workers can enhance the reputation and morale. Also, it is a good way to take from the perspective of finance. Therefore, with advantages for themselves, government and companies should take responsibilities to help worker adjust to changes in technology and demand.
In conclusion, the government and industry leaders are supposed to provide re-training opportunities to the workers when they decide to make changes for whatever reason; and, the individual also need to have positive sprits to continue learning to adapt to such change quickly and smoothly, if there is any. |
