There are 2 rounds for MIT, which is similar to other schools. MIT's class size is much smaller compared to other schools, maybe that explains the 2 rounds instead of 3. As for chances of admission for international student, according to adcom, there is not difference. The results will be released early enough for you to arrange for financial aid and visa.
