无助！求救！重要的as...as概念吃不准！GWD24-20

A. than those that charge
B. than are charging
C. than to charge
D. as charge
E. as those charging

OA is E, but I suspect the answer is D because OG37 uses the exact same construction (pasted below). I think for E to be correct, "charging" has to be changed to "charge" for the sake of parallelism in the "as...as" construction. D reads a bit awkward because the subject after the 2nd "as" is omitted but so is the correct answer in OG37. This is an important concept so I want to make sure that I get to the bottom of it.

NN怎么看上面这道题？D的用法貌似和下面这道OG的一模一样为什么错呢？我下周就考了，要是有这么重要的概念还搞不清怎么行！！！

貌似前人讨论也没结果

选项的好坏是比出来的，OG那题明显只能A正确

如果是我 20题我也选D 省略没歧义而且和那面的charge对应

等待NN来解答。。。

恩，我同意D。lz的分析很有道理，确实如果要使as...as结构完整，后面是不能用changing的，而是应该至少用一个动词，比如change。

umm...印象中这个用法正是比较之庖丁解牛里面未有提及的用法。与其从比较的角度来看这种句式，不如从as的特殊用法来看。，，as用法比较特殊，可以作为关系代词，记住这种用法：

As最基本的用法是做连词“与……一样”表示同级的比较，介词“作为”。下面是它特殊的用法，例句：

1. He does not possess such qualifications as are necessary to be an actor.他并不具备一名演员应有的资格。

2. She bought the same skirt as I had bought last week so I need to talk to her about it so we don't wear them the same at the same time.她买的那条裙子和我上周买的一模一样，我要和她商量一下，免得“撞衫”。

上面两个例句中定语从句都使用了as作为关系代词，我们可以发现例句1中含有“such…as…”，例句2中含有“the same…as…”，由此可见，我们到底要不要使用as来做关系代词，可以根据句中是否出现了与as搭配的短语进行判断。

3. The murderer who had killed several people on the campus was finally arrested by the police, as was expected.如我们所愿，那个在校园杀害数人的杀人犯终于被警方逮捕。

该句中并未出现与as搭配的短语，此处的用法是as做关系代词指代前面整个句子，在定语从句中做主语。

这道题我怎么觉得就应当选择e呀...

as...as...比较的对象是 institutions 么，所以划线部分一定要有as+ institutions

institutions 用those代替

charging做后置定语修饰 those么

比较对象是主语 institutions 所以不需要补足动词啦...

但要说选D也好像可以，省略those which，这样讲也说得通但我觉得和E比起来表述的很罗嗦不太好

那
e选项相当于省略了与前面相同的动词
d选项省略了与前面相同的主语
但是e选项把原来的动词变成了定语这就错了

但是我不认为as...as...的第二个as只能作连词
