正确答案是A, 我选的是D
看了og分析，我疑惑的是：not only...but also结构中，以前只知道also可以省略，A中却省略了but,这样不会造成“not only are...” 和"they can also..."两个句子没有连接词而用逗号连接嘛？
而关于D选项，OG分析说少了主语，是不是可以前半句转换为正常语序来理解呢？
因为是新题，所以分析很少，希望大神来解答一下！谢谢！

个人觉的这句句子真的是写的非常的好，很多语法点在里面

我的个人意见是句首的as 做了连词的功能引导了从句， not only 这个部分就是个插入语并不影响句子的主要成分， they also can 这个部分就是主句

这题很鬼啊！！做的时候还是要牢记not only...but also的绝对平行

not only are thieves able to divert是一个倒装句，还原之后就是 thieves（主语） are not only able to divert（谓语），后面显然应该接的是 主语+but also+谓语

之所以前后都加入主语，不是为了连接主语，而是为了句子的对仗工整而补足主语，连接的其实是主语的两个不同的谓语动作。又因为not only在句首已经倒装过了，所以but also用正常语序即可。满足句子平衡的要求。（笔记上的原话！！）

prep语法笔记上有提到not only … but also …并不总是这么对称、完整地出现地，以下几种变体也为GMAT所接受：
(1) not only … but …
(2) not only … also…，所以这里省略but也是可以的！！
