...furthermore, the if clause in B must take should rather than would.

为何此处IF从句中必须是SHOULD而不能用WOULD，能给个说法吗？

刚查了语法书，相关内容摘录如下：

if 真实条件句的几种形式：

这种条件句的特征是：从句动词不管主语的人称和数如何，一律用should+不定式，主句动词可根据语意意图采用不同形式。在这里，should 仅表示一种不太肯定的婉转口气，并不影响条件的真实性

(2)  If you will reserve seats, we shall be sure of a comfortable journey
if 分句中用"will+不定式"并不单纯表示将来意义，这里的will 是个表示意愿的情态助动词，相当于be willing to

(3) If you would kindly wait a moment, I 'll see what I can do.
If+would 表示意愿，常用于客气的请求

此题表达意思与意愿无关，应用should

看了大家的讨论，我还有几个问题希望大家能帮忙解释一下~

查了语法书以后发现，表示对将来假设的虚拟语气，从句用should+动词原形，主句用should/would/could/might+动词原形。另外条件状语从句if， 也是should+动词原形。但是主句谓语动词可以不用虚拟语气形式。那在本题中ets说用should比would好，到底是因为条件状语从句还是因为虚拟语气表达方式？在这句中，这个if从句，到底是条件从句还是对将来假设的虚拟语气？ 如果这两种句子都是对将来的假设，那么它们的区别是什么呢？我有点弄不清楚，希望大家能帮帮我~~~

另外，除了这一个题目通常来说什么时候应该用would什么时候应该有should呢？是不是像tianwan说得那样，would不用在书面语中？请高人指教啊！谢谢~~~

这个没错，但是GMAT里的虚拟语气里should 都是省略不出现的。如suggest, require 啦等等的句子，mm可以查一下。

另外条件状语从句if， 也是should+动词原形。但是主句谓语动词可以不用虚拟语气形式。那在本题中ets说用should比would好，到底是因为条件状语从句还是因为虚拟语气表达方式？

偶觉得这里b是单纯的条件壮语从句，应该用should 代替would。billion mm 举得例子可以参考。
