最后剩下A，C，但我觉得C虽然是比A繁琐了但是更加有平衡对称不是吗？前两部分有的ITS，第三部分不同样需要吗？疑惑。。。。

THE "THEY" IN C IS AMBIGUOUS SINCE THE WORD CAN DEFINE "rights and obligations“ OR IT CAN REFER TO OTHER THINGS. IN GMAT EXAM, "THEY" AS A PRONOUN SHOULDN'T BE APPEARED ON ITS OWN IN A SENTENCE.
YOU NEED TO USE A CLEARER WORD INSTEAD.

因为and 决定了defined……后面是主句，则主句中的its肯定优先指代主句中单复数与其相符合的名词，即kinship
